LFW Street style

Next seasons hot trends might be showcasing fresh on the catwalk right now but our main style crushing comes from outside the runway on the street. Blogger babes, celeb crushin' or street style fashionista's we can't get enough of eyeing up our fav on trend out there looks straight from the streets of Chelsea.  Here's a round up of those LFW looks we have been lovin' so far ...

Fashion month has started with a bang at NYFW and whilst we're getting super excited for London's turn; we're getting our inspo fresh from the street stylers gracing the big apple in their new season looks...

Seasonal transitioning

Saying goodbye to the summer is never easy but then we suddenly turn to the thought of over-sized jumpers, snuggly pjs and winter nights in front of the fire with a mug of hot chocolate; and it isn't that bad, right?

As we step into that summer to autumn transition we can't help but think of how we can still keep elements of our summer wardrobe - we are refusing to cover up head to toe just yet! To compromise between seasons we're teaming culottes and midi skirts with over-sized jumpers and a fedora hat. Of course, our sunnies and umbrella will still be our handbag essential for rain or shine!

All about that glow

That dewy sun-kissed bronzed glow is our make-up go to in the summer months. Whether we're enjoying a stroll on the beach or a pub lunch with the girls, that glam glow is our make-up must. Master the look now with our simple steps below...

1. Base control : Prepping the skin is one of (if not) the most vital steps. Make sure your skins well moisturised before applying your foundation, this way you will get much more of dewy finish as appose to a flat matte base.
 
2. Add a liquid highlighter to your foundation : To add that extra glow to your base add a liquid highlighter such as mac's strobe cream or lustre drops into your foundation. This will add a subtle but stunning glow to your base.

3.  Highlighter : If there's any time of the year highlighter can be used sparingly it's summer. Apply on the top of your cheekbones and dust a tad down the bridge of your nose. For even more glow apply above the cupids bow and in the corner of your eyes.

4. Setting spray / powder:  Powder accordingly but don't go OTT. Finish with a good setting spray to keep you looking fresh, dewy and your make-up in place all day.

Trend spotlight // Rust & Fringe

There's no hiding away from the fact that the 70's trend is dominating the fashion world right now. And although at first the thought of  flares, tassels, fringing and out there prints may have been somewhat daunting, the seventies time warp has been the style overhaul our wardrobe has long been crying out for. To help aid you rust meets fringe styling here's a collage of some of our favourite looks..

Foundation

Summer foundation is all about that dew. Gone are the days of matte shine free bases - its time give your face that much needed glow. Full coverage girls don't worry - these foundations are all fairly medium/full.

 

Highlight

That gorgeous glow is a spring/summer statement - use a liquid based highlighter and mix in with your foundation to allow that radiance to escape from beneath your skin. Finish by swiping a compact highlighter on the tops of your cheek bones.

70's Trend || Street style inspo

There really is no shying away with fashion this season as the 70's is back; so get your trend on with wide leg flares, tassels/fringing galore, double denim, an array of sepia tones and don't forget - suede is the new leather. Admittedly though the 70's trend may be a step away from most of our comfort zones with such bold out there statement trends. Flared trousers for one are a definite daunting silhouette; especially when straight lined figure hugging skinny jeans have been a wardrobe staple for so long. Converting to the dark side in a more unfitted number is undoubtedly a nervy move but wide leg flares are actually way more flattering than first anticipated giving that timeless elegant glamour vibe.
